2023 Asphalt Pavement Preventive Maintenance Project

Spring 2024 Schedule

Schedule Update 06/18/2024: Due to an equipment failure Parking Lot 12 will now be closed for sealing on Wednesday, June 19th.

***Spring 2024 Update***

The Aspahlt Preventive Maintenance Project will be restarting on Tuesday, June 18th.  This work will require 4-6 hour road closures for one day to install the fog seal and allow for it to cure.

Please see the map or click here to see when each roadway is scheduled for treatment. The Lakeview Ave work will be coordinated with the ongoing lead service replacement work on S State St so that S State St is open when Lakeview Ave is closed.

As a reminder this schedule is weather dependent and will be adjusted if there is rain.

Because of weather delays, all remaining roadways were rescheduled for the spring of 2024.  Please also look for signs that will be installed the day before the work takes place.  The overband crack filling was completed in the fall of 2023.

Roadways that were resurfaced in 2023 have been added to this project and will be completed when the contractor re-mobilizes in the spring of 2024, as this will extend the life of the new pavement. These roadways are shown in the map as well.

This project is being undertaken to install a fog seal and crack seal on approximately 9 miles asphalt roadways throughout the City.  During the closures house that front on selected roadways will not have access to their driveways.  Please plan to park on a nearby side street if the vehicle will be needed the day of the closure.  Overnight parking restrictions will be waived for the duration of the project. Please do not park on the street the night before a roadway is scheduled to be treated.

A map can be found HERE.  The map shows the roadways included in this project and the dates each roadway is scheduled to be closed & treated (fog sealed). A detailed schedule for the remaining roadways and any additions will be posted once it has been provided to the City by the contractor.

Highlights for those fronting the road closures:

  • Do not park on the street the night before a roadway is scheduled to be closed
    • on street parking restriction will be waived in the project areas for the project duration.
  • Do not run sprinklers the night before or morning of the scheduled treatment.
  • Closures will be 4-6 hours in duration
  • Work will be undertaken in the order shown on the map and schedule.
    • Please note if your roadway is listed later for a given day the closure may not be in place until the early afternoon.
