The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety is dedicated to providing the highest level of professional law enforcement and firefighting services. Our team is cross-trained to handle both police and fire emergencies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to public safety.

Our Team

  • 4 Sergeants – Cross-trained in law enforcement and firefighting
  • 20 Public Safety Officers – Skilled in both policing and firefighting
  • 2 Detectives – Conducting investigations and case follow-ups
  • 2 Administrative Assistants – Providing essential department support
  • Director of Public Safety – Leading our department with vision and strategy
  • Deputy Director of Public Safety – Overseeing daily operations
  • Police and Fire Reserve Officers – Assisting as needed

We work hand-in-hand with the community to maintain a safe, progressive, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
