A Jazzy Jolly Christmas

The St. Joseph Municipal Jazz Band will be presenting its annual holiday concert - A Jazzy Jolly Christmas - on Sunday December 8 (Light Up The Bluff Weekend at 7:00pm in the Auditorium at St. Joseph High School in St. Joseph, MI. All who attend this not-to-be-missed concert will be treated to a variety of holiday favorites, all with a jazzy twist. Among the selections will be "Jingle Bells" and "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" as performed by the Count Basie Orchestra, "Carol of the Drum" as performed by Ray Charles, "Rockin' On Top of the World" from the movie Polar Express, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" from the Judy Garland movie Meet Me In St. Louis, and "In the Christmas Mood" as performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.  Returning from last year's concert, our featured vocal soloist for the evening will be Lisa Chilton.

 

The Jazz Band is composed of members from the St. Joseph Municipal Band, and will be led by Dr. Jonathan Korzun, Director of the St. Joseph Municipal Band.

 

For this concert, the Municipal Jazz Band will be joined by the St.Joseph Public Schools Jazz Ensembles under the direction of Joshua C. Doe, Director of Bands for the St. Joseph Public Schools.

 

The St.Joseph Public Schools Jazz Ensembles will begin their portion of the program at 6:30pm.
