Street Lights

The majority of the street lights in the community, the "cobra head" lights lining major streets and at intersections in residential areas, are owned and maintained by Indiana Michigan Power.  For these lights, you can quickly report a problem using a brief form on the Indiana Michigan Power website (click on this link to go directly to the form) or by calling 1-800-311-4634.

The City is responsible for the care and maintenance of ornamental street lights in the downtown, the parks, on City property, and in several neighborhoods. If you notice an ornamental street light that is not working, is always on, or otherwise needs attention, please report the issue to the City at 983-6341 or e-mail info@sjcity.com.
