Hiring: Water Account Clerk
The City of St Joseph is seeking a Water Account Clerk to perform various clerical tasks in support of the Finance Department. Responsibilities include assisting at the front counter, processing water payments, opening mail, preparing reports and correspondence, answering phones, responding to inquiries, filing information, and maintaining computer and manual databases. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. In addition to a competitive salary, the City offers a generous benefits package, including a defined benefit retirement plan.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license.
- Requires three years of accounting-related experience in an office environment.
- Governmental accounting experience is a plus.
The starting hourly rate is $24.77.
