Job Opening: Construction Manager
The City of St. Joseph currently seeking a Construction Manager.
Under the direction of the City Engineer, the construction manager functions include but are not limited to, the ability to manage construction projects, read civil engineering and architectural drawings, must be proficient with computer hardware and software, such as Microsoft Office, computer-aided design, email and internet browser programs, be able to accurately measure and calculate such items as area, slopes and volumes and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, knowledge of construction materials and procedures, construction documents and inspection and testing. Requirements include, but not limited to a bachelor of science degree from an accredited four-year college with major course work in construction management, or a related field, experience with municipal infrastructure and communicating with the public, or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. A valid Michigan driver’s license is required. This is a salaried-exempt position, salary is $50,000 - $60,000, DOQ.
