Berrien County provides several collection days each year in various parts of the county. You have to transport the hazardous waste to a designated site for collection.
Accepted Items: home/garden/garage chemicals like cleaners, solvents, oil-based paints & stains, motor oil, antifreeze, lawn/pool chemicals, batteries, home medical waste & more.
Items NOT Accepted: latex paint (can be dried and placed next to trash with lid off can), fire works & ammo, smoke detectors, propane tanks, tires, appliances.
