Public Comment: Jill Stone thanked the City and staff for assisting with a very successful event this past Saturday. Sylvia Lieberg complimented the City Engineer on a job well done regarding the Price Street project.

Resolution 13-14 establishing the water and sewer rates for the 2013 – 2014 fiscal year.

Resolution 13-16, declaring that George Barfield, Michael C. Garey, Mary Goff and Chris Heugel are nominated for the office of City Commissioner and directing that their names be placed on the November 5, 2013 General Election ballot.

As part of the EVIP program, motion passed that for the 2013- 2014 fiscal year, the City will not pay more than 80% of the total annual costs of all the medical benefit plans it offers or contributes to for its employees and elected public officials and authorize staff to submit 2011 PA 152 Certification of Compliance.

City Engineer Zebell reviewed the procedure for the new traffic signal at the corner of Napier and Langley; and presented a short film by MDOT relative to the flashing yellow arrow, solid yellow arrow, red arrow and green arrow.

Resolution 13-15, indicating the City’s support for designating Harbor Shores Golf Club as the “official home” of the Senior PGA championship.

Entering into Closed Session to discuss pending litigation, potential property acquisition and receive Legal Opinion.

Mayor Judd and Commissioner Goff spoke to the “Norman Rockwell” weekend in St. Joseph this past weekend and thanked Susan Solon, Jill Stone, and city staff for their hard work.

Napier Langley Traffic Signal - Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Project

 

The new Napier Langley traffic signal is now operational and there is a change to the left signal mode of operation. The protected green arrow has been changed to a permissive/protected left turn. Please visit the link below if you have questions regarding the operation of the new signals.
